THERE’S NOTHING NEW ABOUT CHRYSLER AND KIDS. In 1984, Chrysler introduced the minivan and changed the way American families travel. In the years since, Chrysler has continued to set the standard in safety, design, and kid-friendly features. At the same time, Chrysler placed educational issues on the company agenda and supported a number of national initiatives including award winning reading, mentoring, and child safety programs.
SCHOOL FUNDING IS NOT A NEW PROBLEM. Everyone knows schools are chronically under-funded for student enrichment and extracurricular activities; and parents are often called upon to make up the short fall. Chrysler recognized the need, and in 1993, introduced Drive for the Kids™. The program makes it possible for Chrysler dealers to work with parents and educators for the benefit of children. Chrysler found a way to put marketing dollars to good use: showcasing product and helping schools in communities where the company does business. See our original promotional video.
